Teachers & Dorm Parents (1+ years)
Are you a teacher or a potential houseparent who loves Jesus, has a heart for the nations, and a passion for educating? Then dive into the unique community of third-culture kids and play the vital role of supporting long-term missionaries by giving their children a quality education. Live in another culture and gain an understanding of the spiritual needs as you build relationships with your students and their families.
Take the first step by Getting Acquainted.
One-Room Schoolhouse:
The one-room schoolhouse model is used for World Team families who don’t have the option of sending their children to boarding school or choose not to. In these cases, teachers go to them, often providing education for multiple families.
There are a variety of opportunities on our fields. We are looking for people with willing hearts and a love for children, even though they may not have formal teaching credentials.
Schools Serving Missionary Kids (MKs):
Schools that serve MK’s offer a variety of positions – from teaching, to serving as dorm parents, to administrative opportunities. Each of these roles offers opportunities to build into the lives of students. Teachers work in a traditional classroom setting taught in English – though it is highly encouraged to learn some of the local language to enrich your experience! Houseparent’s live in dormitory style housing and provide a home away from home for students.
