Reciprocal Assessment
& Candidate Evaluation (RACE)

RACE is a week-long process designed to help you proceed prayerfully, boldly and purposefully on the course God has marked out for you. RACE is a community-based instrument where you will experience:

Learning :: Expand your understanding of God’s plan for the nations. Check out who World Team is and where we’re going. Ask your toughest questions. Talk truthfully about the perks and pitfalls of cross-cultural ministry.Growing :: Participate with a team to tackle simulated ministry situations that will teach you about your own strengths and weaknesses while working with others. Receive honest, constructive feedback regarding your gifts, abilities, and readiness from seasoned missionaries and trained assessors.

Preparing :: Take what you’ve learned so far and explore where God can use you best. Set realistic goals for getting there. Take the fear out of support raising and receive training so that this becomes a blessing, not a burden.

I had an amazing, yet stretching time at RACE. I was able to thoroughly learn about who World Team is as well as be heard and poured into. I was impressed with the loving staff who took the time to get to know me on a very intimate level and show me love through my weaknesses.I felt as though I received a fresh taste of Christ’s love. Not only does Christ know our name, but He knows everything about us, where we’ve failed, where we are weak, every thought and intention, and yet through all that He forgives us, uses us, and blesses us so that we can be a blessing to others. I am excited to be a new part of the World Team family – which truly does feel like a family.– Carrie, July 2008 RACE alum
