To go or not to go?
That is the question… the one most Christians ponder, at least momentarily, in response to Jesus’ command to “make disciples of all nations”. Your response to this might already be crystal-clear…
Perhaps you know you would waste away in Africa where deep-fried bugs could be on the daily menu. Or you’d struggle to overcome the spiritual state of Europe where grand cathedrals attract more tourists than Christians. Or maybe you simply don’t have the aptitude or inclination to learn a new language.
The truth is, not everyone is called to serve cross-culturally. Many are called to send.
For over a century God has been sowing seeds through World Team, but it’s during this generation that people are coming to faith in record numbers around the globe. The Gospel is rapidly advancing in places where it was only scarcely known until recently. God is honoring the sacrifices of all those who have served by giving or going through the years.
While there is great reason to rejoice, there are simply too few missionaries to engage the opportunities before us. Consequently both missionaries and indigenous believers are pleading with World Team leaders to “Send more workers”.
