Philippines Hit by Typhoon Sendong
Typhoon Sendong swept through the southern is land of Mindanao in mid-December, causing massive flooding and destruction of homes and infrastructure. The death toll is reaching up to 1,000 people. The flood waters came too quickly in the night and filled people’s homes before they could escape.
